Alearth, or rather Leelee as she preferred walked into the tavern, her long white hair silken into the loose large curls that always seemed to roll down her back. She tossed the white silk into her eyes as she pulled the dark hood over her head. Sometimes people thought she was a lot younger than what she was. I mean being a dragon had it's advantages, but it was hard sometimes. She was still considered a young dragon. When in dragon form she was much bigger and seemed a lot wiser, or that was what all dragons seemed to be cause no one ever knew your true age. But right now no one would be able to tell she was just a dragon in sheep's clothing. Her pale blue eyes tossed to the tavern counter her long black cloak hiding the white dress that sometimes seemed to be see through. Her skin was also pale as ice. It would seem that she took on traits from her dragon side over to the transformation of human side.

Raising her hand and coughing into it. She tilt her head up just enough for a bartender to roll their eyes at her as only her full lips could be seen. She never seemed to wear shows as she did not need to. Her feet never seeming to be dirty but always seemed well kept with no scratches for she tread very softly where ever she walked. She ordered a water, dragon's and alcohol never seemed to mix, but who cared now-a-days.

[OOC: Sorry for the horrible muse peeps!]

Catherine stands at the end of the bar watching over the room. Tonight she wears a long jade gown, that is a perfect offset to both her crimson hair and pale skin, showing just enough skin to make even the most saint like mind to wonder place it shouldn't. Her hair is left down in soft ringlets that flow down her back like a cascading waterfall. Eyes the color of dark emeralds follow the young women as she enters the tavern.

Cat moves toward her almost as if she is floating. "Welcome young one. What is your pleasure this eve?" She asks her voice the softest of whispers almost a kiss upon your check. Her full red lips draw into a warm smile of welcome.

Leila sighed as she tilted her head to the side. She smiled as the soft seductive whispers of the female reached her ears. Perfectly white teeth showed as she turned to face the female now lowering her hood so it hung loosely off her small pale shoulders. Her wide pale blue eyes shifted up and down the female of it sizing her up. Her lips curved into a small pout, a cute pout nothing that would seem out of the ordinary, her long white hair seemingly matching the other female's in soft large curls. Her large innocent looking eyes seemed to twinkle with amused laughter. Young one... Pfft, well I guess the female was older than she was, but sometimes a dragon would wait centuries to hatch, if only the fea knew this. That she was a dragon of course, looking seemingly like a human no one could really tell now-a-days. Running a small hand through large loose curls she finally spoke.

Perhaps something you would like to recommend, my dear?

She always sounded much older, and much wiser than she looked. She smiled yet again only to stifle the pondering yawn of going a day without rest. She needed a bath and a sun bath. She tucked her hands underneath her but as she pulled herself up onto a stool so she could get a better and closer look at the female who seemed to speak with her. Something about the fatale intrigued the little dragon.

Cath smiles again. Nobody had called her 'my dear' in over a hundred years. "Well people say I have the best whiskey in all the land." She wonders where the woman is from. "Have you traveled far?" She asks softly as she grabs a glass and a bottle of whiskey.

Setting the glass on the bar she begins pouring the whiskey. She could tell there was something different about the woman sitting in front of her. Cath has meet many people in her line of work so not much surprised her anymore.

"Why are we coming in here?" A woman said as a man dragged in her. "We can't drink." She crossed her hands and arms over her body, as if that might hide the fact that she and her clothes were translucent.

"I told you, I was meeting someone here."

"Foolish spirits. Agreeing to meet at a tavern."

They were both dressed in fine upper class clothes. She wore a light lavender dress with gold and blue trimming. The male wore black with gold trim, the clothes he had been buried in. He looked solid, but as he walked, he occasionally went through things. "Relax." He pulled out a chair and sat in it. "It will not be too long."

"Very well," she replied, then startled when a drunk man sat in her chair. "Hey! I'm sitting here!"

The man jumped up and stumbled as he turned towards her. "Woah." He poked his hand into her.

Though she saw it as out of fascination rather than malice, she still thought it was very rude. "Stop!"

Gunther grabbed a spoon off the table and hit the man in the face. "Leave us." His voice was commanding.

(You can control the drunk if you want.)

The man looks from the girl to the other being sitting in the chair and rubs his nose where the spoon hit him. "Owww...I wasn't gonna 'urt 'er" He says slurring his words as the smell of whiskey pours from him. He takes a step towards the girl and tries to touch her again. "What are ya anyways? Nothin' I have...*hic*...seen"

Cath looks up from the girl to the spot that the three are. ~Ghosts...Now what could they be needing in my tavern.~ Excusing herself she makes her way to the table. "What brings two fine spirits such as yourselves to my humble little tavern?" Catherine had much respect for the dead and creatures of it. Herself being one of them. Turning to the man she frowns. "I think you my friend have had enough. It is time for you to be heading home."

"Ahhh...Cath I didn't mean nothin' by it. I just ain't never seen someone you can see through and all." He says trying to focus on the woman standing in front of him. "It just don't seem right is all."

"I know you didn't Richard but I still think it is best for you to leave." She says in her soft wispy voice.

"A'right I will leave tonight. Be back tomorrow, Cath." He turns and stumbles toward the door.

Cath watches him and shakes her head. It came with the business many a night she had watched more then half of the people in here walk out much the same way. Turning back to the spirits she smiles. "I am truly sorry for his rudeness. He is usually harmless." She pause for a moment. "So how can I be of service?"

Matilda was frowning as Cath approached, though it was directed at the man, not the vampire. She quietly watched as he was advised to leave, and she put her hand over where his had been.

Gunther looked over towards Cath. "We'll survive," he joked with a grin.

"Ha ha." Matilda replied sarcastically.

"I have agreed to meet an acquaintance here," Gunther informed. "I thought Matti here might enjoy the experience. She's spent most of her death in one place." Now standing behind Matilda, she stroked down her long hair.

"I died there." Matilda's tone was defensive. It wasn't unheard of for spirits to do just that. She was normally happier, but she was grumpy tonight. She looked to the vampire. "Not the most pleasant experience, as I am sure you are aware." She gave a bit of a smile, but left it at that. It was considered rude to ask how one died, though it was a common mistake made by the living or newly deceased.

Catherine smirks at both spirits. "It is good to hear you will survive." She looks at the female and smiles. "No the death of my soul was not pleasant but the following years haven't been to bad. I have enjoyed a great many things. A being such as I learns how to make it interesting. I guess thats why I have been a tavern keeper for the last 50 years or so here and there." That and the fact that she didn't dare stay in one place to long and a tavern was an easy business to disappear in. She wasn't sure how long she had this time before Robert found her but she was enjoying herself all the while. Even for a vampire life could sometimes be to short. Catherine wasn't about to pass up any moment. "I am happy you all decided to hold a meeting here. And again I am sorry that Richard disturbed you. If there is anyway I can be of service don't not be afraid to ask." Her smile this time was a toothy one. She begins to turn and walk back to the bar.

It was a little odd to hear, and Matilda couldn't imagine how it felt with vampires. Her spirit lived on, but her body was destroyed. She remembered being newly dead, watching as her soul mate burned her body so no one could disrespect it. Was it the opposite for vampires? Was the soul destroyed in exchange for the body to continue on? Or was there some version of Cath's spirit running around.

Caught up in her own thoughts, she didn't notice the vampire start leaving. "What's it like to own a tavern?" She realized it now, and she hoped the question wasn't a bother.

Gunther was quiet, listening in on Matilda's thoughts. They could always hear each other. He chuckled as he sat down at the table.

Cath smiles and turns back to the spirits. "Its interesting. I found I enjoy it most of the time." Walking closer again she leans her hip on the table. "I enjoy being around the living. It makes it less hard knowing that everything is not lost. My death was not of my choice but in rebirth I have found something that I enjoy a lot. Nothing can come close to the feeling of taking the life blood of another but being near all the beating hearts gives me a perverse pleasure. Though if it ever got out what I truly was I would not have a single customer. No, they wouldn't take to kindly to a vampire who could take their life without a single regret." These last few lines were said in a whisper when she looks again at the spirits her normal dark emerald eyes have turned crimson and her fangs have began to show. "Though I haven't taken a life in over a year it doesn't mean its not still there lurking under the surface. But with bloodwyne these days it takes the edge off." She had gone off topic but it was hard to stay on topic because she knew that most people wanted to know how a vampire could run a tavern and not kill everybody who walked through the door. "But I do enjoy my profession."

As she mentioned taking a life, Gunther thought back to the joy he felt torturing people. The real joy was when he got confessions and information. Aw, he missed it. He smiled when Matilda gave a quick annoyed glance, and he went back to listening to the vampire.

"Bloodwyne," he echoed softly, wondering who's blood that was made from. He hadn't thought about it before, but now he was curious.

"There's probably different types," Matilda answered him. "It sounds like you live a...hungry life." She wondered if being hungry as a vampire felt the same as being hungry as a human.

Cath shrugs "There are many types of hunger. Mostly I hunger for a body warm and willing, one who wants what I offer, not out of fear for his life to share my bed during the long days. I crave the humanity of it all. Love, life, and happiness isn't that what they all want?" She looks around the tavern and smiles. "All these men in here, the women too, they take what has been given them for granted. This life, the beating of their hearts they don't realize how fast it can all be taken from them. But it is not my place to inform them either."

Looking at the male she smiles "Bloodwyne is made from many beings. Mostly humans, some fae, and demons. Human blood will keep the hunger at bay, Fae blood helps us heal alittle faster, but Demon blood is the sweetest and most dangerous of all. A vampire on demon blood will feel stronger, like they could take on a pack of werewolves and come out unscathed. Demons blood will brings us back if we are close to the true death." Her smile widens it wasn't often she could talk about such things. "I prefer mine warmed...it just taste better more like the real thing. Some prefer it chilled but for me it seems to thick." She shrugs again. "But either way will take the edge off."

Gunther got not so innocent grin on his face when she said there was different types of hunger.

Pervert, Matilda thought, knowing he was thinking of sexual hunger.

Oh, it's a real thing.

"They may be taking it for granted," Gunther said, "but that is better than some of the alternatives." Those who realized how fragile their life was often lived in fear.

The information about blood was interesting. Matilda would have thought fae blood would be sweeter, though she really had no idea why she'd think that. Demon blood sounded like a version of plants that some humans used. Of course, it wasn't something she tried. She only knew how her own tasted like, and was following the instinct of putting a cut finger in her mouth. It made it sting less.

That and Kadar, Gunther thought. When a creature burrows into you and then connects with your mind, you learn quickly what your blood tastes like. Hmm. If the blood clots before the wine is finished, do they call it pulp? He laughed as Matilda wrinkled her nose. "Never had warm wine, though being that particular type would be a reason to warm it. Could would be like eating cold meat."

Cath shakes her head at his grin. "Sex is a hunger that never seems to go away. When your lovers are to scared to do much it doesn't make it much fun but then I just turn on my charm and I have then eating out of my hand." She knew it sounded cocky but it was true. You couldn't deny that vampires were sexy. Sure most of them wound up dead but a girl couldn't always control herself when passion of any kind was on the menu. "Though I haven't had a human as a lover in a long while." She frowns.

"It is about like eating cold meat. Not the most appitizing." She draws a face of disgust. Shrugging she smiles again "But then its been awhile since I have tasted meat of any kind warm or cold." As a vampire she feasted on the blood not the flesh.

Gunther grinned in a bit of victory when Cath acknowledged sexual passion. He didn't really know much about vampires. He hadn't had to deal with any while alive, and now that he was dead, he mostly dealt with spirits. When she specified in a human lover, he briefly wondered if that meant she had been with others.

"Neither have we," Matilda said with a smile after Cath mentioned not having eaten meat in a while. "Can smell it though. Not really the same though. It's more of a tease."

"Yes death has a way of taking many pleasures from a person." She says more to herself. "Take for instance the taste of meat. Now before I was turned I could tell you about every smell it had but as the years go by I can't even remember any of them." She smirks. "But there are things I have found that replace it. Blood taken in throws of passion has become a favorite of mine. To taste something so sweet at a moment of completion, there is nothing better in my mind. Now with humans this kills them but with another vampire it increases the pleasure. It heightens the senses, makes release that much more powerful." She was almost salivating at the thought of it. She couldn't believe she was actually having this conversation in the middle of a crowed tavern with spirits she had just meet. She laughs at the thought and smiles.

(If anyone from a near table runs away screaming, she'll know why. :) )

Matilda might have been a little pink now, from the way the conversation was going, if she was human. She wasn't sexless. When alive, she used men for her own needs, whether for pleasure or to create a child. She justified it to herself, saying that in their minds, they were using her. Her sex life didn't change much as a spirit, except of course, that she couldn't have children. Still, she was a proper lady, and this wasn't a normal conversation with a stranger. How did we get to sex? Oh yes. Gunther...as always.

Gunther grinned, finding this tidbit about vampires interesting. He had viewed their biting and drinking blood as purely for food before. "Yes, I don't think humans would appreciate that." Had he been alive, he would have been disturbed with her words. It wasn't so much of an issue now. "Nothing better?" He smiled a bit.

"There is being linked to someone who is...on the same time." Matilda said, knowing that's what Gunther was thinking.

"That is our-"

Matilda glared at him.

"-my-" he changed quickly. "-version of 'nothing better.' Building on each other throughout, and the end..." He looked pleased for a second. "That was in life though. It's different in death."

Catherine smiles...here she had been talking about her pleasures and hadn't even thought about these two being spirits. It was rude of her to talk about something and not even know if these two could still partake in the act. "I am sorry you seem to have caught me on a night when I can't hold my tongue. I didn't mean to offend you be going on about something that am sure you both miss. So is there anything else I can do for other then talk about myself? Consider me at your service for anything at all." She smiles her most pleasant smile as she looks at them both.

Gunther hadn't realized how his words sounded, and now that he realized, he wanted to correct the misunderstanding. "No, I am still sexual."

"Oh, that's a noble thing to say," Matilda said with some sarcasm.

"I'm dead now. I can say what I want." He smiled a bit, knowing that she was right. Being dead wasn't really an excuse. He looked from Matilda to the vampire. "Spirits do not have a problem being uh...physical with each other. In time, they can even have such pleasures with the living.

"The longer one is a spirit, they stronger they become," Matilda added. "That is why you can see through me but not him. He can change that with himself." She gestured to Gunther, who faded until he was gone. He returned as Matilda continued. "The only thing to really miss are those you left behind. Physically, of course, we can talk to them, but lives have been ruined by spirits who have done this."

"It is not something we would ever do to our loved ones," Gunther added. "Well...at this point for me...loved one."

Cath raises a brow. She had never thought of it that way. She had always thought that once you were a spirit then you couldn't have physical contact with anybody. Shrugging she looks at him and smiles. "Well atleast you don't have to give up that pleasure." She smiles a little smile. "And I learned something new." It was always good to learn new things even after all her years. "So what other pleasure can you guys enjoy still?" She asks..."If you don't mind my asking." She was truly curious about what happened after one died.

Gunther smiled a bit, happy about the correction. He'd never want anyone thinking he couldn't perform.

What other pleasures do we still enjoy? Matilda asked.

Gunther thought about the answer. "Relationships in general. I'm able to spend time with family members, those I outlived, some whom I met after death. I'm closer to some than I was in life. Also, sparring..." He chuckled. "...though there is not much risk for injury."

"Listening to music," Matilda added. "Dancing, socializing, playing games, traveling and exploring, magic... There is usually a twist to everything. It's common to dance in the air instead of on the ground."

"Can't really dress up for dances though...though for us, we already are." Gunther smiled.

"What about you?" Matilda asked. "What is the difference between life and...unlife?"

Cath smiles alittle. "Well for me I can never again feel the suns rays on my skin. While I was alive I just enjoyed the sun. The warmth of it all. It used to make me sad to think of it when I was first turned but after 200 years it effects me very little. But really not alot has changed. Sure I cannot eat the food I once enjoyed so very much but I really do not miss it that much. I have found other things to replace the things I lost. My family I do miss quite a bit. For I cannot see them anymore. No one is left. I do have children in this world and they would be here if I had the need to call for them. That is the ones who do not hate me for the life I have given them." Not that she had turned that many she tried not to turn people in her years. She respected humanity and all that made them that way.

Gunther found interest in her mention of the sun. It seemed a life would be dark and cold without it. He couldn't feel the extremes now that he was a spirit, but he still felt the warmth.

"Children," Matilda said lovingly when the vampire mentioned hers. "I hope you see them beyond need. Children are are extensions of us, and they give meaning to life...or unlife in your case. Even he thinks so-" She gestured to Gunther. "-though he will not admit it."

"Hmph."

Cath smiles softly at her words about children. "My children are not your typical children. Most of them do not enjoy the life I have given them. They do not call me mother for I did not give birth to them. My children are those I have turned. I gave them a better life something more meaningful then a mortal life. But most of them are still young and do not realize that it is so. None of my children are older then 100 years or so. They will one day come to me asking forgiveness for forsaking the gift that I gave them." She shrugs. Yes it sounded arrogant but that was how she felt. She knew what it was like to be a young vampire but eventually you learned to live with it because you could not change it. She was sure if she had a different sire then she should have thanked him but again you cannot change the past. "But you are right they are a gift to treasure. Do you have any?"

You wouldn't be so happy to hear about her children if she turned one of yours, Gunther thought.

Yes, but she hasn't.

One still lives.

Matilda thought it was a bit interesting...the whole process of being angry and then asking for forgiveness. It was certainly different than being born. What did their families think? She knew Gunther was right. She wouldn't think it was lovely at all if any of her children had been turned into a vampire. Still... She hoped that the vampire was right about her children. It would be sad to have your children forever angry at you.

"Seven," Matilda answered. "All beautiful."

"And dead," Gunther added.

Matilda gave him an annoyed look. She didn't bother to correct him. "He has twenty-seven..." She watched him smile in pride before adding with judgment. "...that he acknowledges."

"They had fathers," Gunther added in defense.

Matilda turned to Cath. "What he means is the women were already married, and those children were raised by men who didn't realize their wives had been unfaithful."

Gunther smiled in pride again, having no shame for his actions.

"How many children do you have?" Matilda asked.
